Leighton Paul Walsh (born November 25, 1982), better known Walshy Fire is a Jamaican-American DJ, MC, and record producer. With fellow DJs Diplo and Ape Drums, he is best known as a member of the dancehall reggae-influenced group Major Lazer.

In 2004, Walshy Fire on tour with the Black Chiney sound system. With its mashups that combine hip hop or R&B beats with reggae & R&B artist voice tracks and its portrayal of the Jamaican sound system, Black Chiney is considered to have a big influence on the development of Major Lazer.
The ensuing mix tapes created by the DJ, engineer, and MC group known as Black Chiney served as his apprenticeship in the art of remix production.
