Lu Rui En (born January 29, 1981), popularly known as Rui En, is a talented Singaporean actress who is one of the seven princesses of Mediacorp in 2006. Aside from being an actress. She is also a singer with several studio albums.
She started her career as an actress into the movie industry in 2002, she has starred in several dramas and series. She got her first lead role in movie titled A Promise For Tomorrow as Fang Fang in 2005

Early Life & Education
Lu Rui En was born on January 29th, 1981, in Singapore . Her father’s name is unknown, working as a property agent. Her mother, on the other hand, is a housewife.
Her parents divorce when she was 17 years. At her 20 years of age, when her mother got married to another man.
The divorce between her parents caused alot of damage to her which results her into smoking ans drinking.she made it publicly that she used to smoke and drink to cope with insecurity and instability, during the one session with Strait Times in 2008.
Rui En attended Singapore-Chinese All Girls School for both her secondary and primary education.
She was unable to complete her studies there, so she later change to Raffles Junor College, where Rui En completed her secondary education.
She also attended the Nanyang Technological University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Business in 2004.
Career
Rui En modelling career began immediately After completing her A Levels at RJC in 1999, under the management of Phantom Agency.
She was starred in a SingTel advertisement in 2001, which took her to the spotlight and landing her a feature in FHM Singapore.
She subsequently joined Artistes Network, a division of Hype Records.Rui En traveled to Taiwan in 2002. In the same year, Hype Records and Alfa Music jointly produced Rui En‘s debut regional Chinese album, titled Rui Σn vol. 01.
She made her debut in Jay Chou‘s Secret Code music video and partnered with him to represent Panasonic GD68. Rui En made her acting debut In the 2002 MediaCorp drama No Problem.
She played her first leading role in 2005 with A Promise for Tomorrow.She was among the most promising young actresses in Singapore’s entertainment industry by I-WeeklyRui En was given the appointment as the spokeman for the L’Oréal Paris Youth Code, Making hee the first Singaporean spokeman international Cosmetics brand.
