Man Arrested For Attempting To R@pe His Own Mother

A 36- year- old man identified as Dan Otieno has bee arrested by the Police for allegedly attempting to defile his own mother.

The shocking incident reportedly occurred at Kararo- village in Kombewa division, at Seme sub- county within Kisumu County, according to some neighbours, it was learnt on the day the incident

happened, the suspect returned back home in the middle of the night heavily intoxicated with alcohol, it was gathered that the suspect then attacked his mother who was sleeping inside the house and tried to forcefully have carnal knowledge of her.

However, it was gathered that the suspect was later arrested after his mother’ s cries for help attracted some neighbours and elders who immediately rushed to the scene and rescued her from the attack, the arrest was also confirmed by Caleb Okuom, the village head, Mr Okuom revealed that the incident was brought to his attention by Martin Omware.

Okuom revealed that after the village leader narrated everything about how the suspect returned home on the day of the incident and started attacking his mother, he swiftly organized some youths of the community, along with some elders, and they quickly rushed to the scene where Otieno was apprehended and handed over to the Police at the Kombewa station.

He also revealed that the victim was later rescued and rushed to the hospital where she recieved medical attention for the injuries she sustained during the attack, he added that thankfully Otieno was unable to carry out his evil intentions towards his mother, the County’ s Police Public Relations Officer, OCPD Hellen Rotich, confirmed the arrest of the suspect and revealed that he was arraigned in court on Wednesday, March 30.
